LG Tribute HD Rear Camera Replacement
Rear camera may be irreparably damaged by water, dirt, or sand, requiring replacement.
- Clean the lens if damaged by debris.
- Check for connectivity issues between camera and motherboard:
- Disconnect ribbon cable from camera to motherboard.
- Reconnect ribbon cable after troubleshooting.
Replace rear lens if broken, causing camera power failure.
Step 1 | Battery and SD Card
Use a fingernail or plastic opening tool to pry the back cover open.
- Insert tool into the cutout on the back cover.
- Pry outward to remove the cover.
Step 2
Remove the battery.
- Extract the SD Card by sliding it out as depicted.
Step 3 | Rear Camera
Remove the 12 x 2mm JIS #00 screws from the mid-frame.
Step 4
Remove the antenna extender from the mid-frame using a plastic opening tool.
Step 5
Hold the mid-frame with both hands and pull it away from its mounting points.
Step 6
Use a plastic opening tool to release the rear camera, then carefully pull it away from the phone.
