LG Tribute HD Motherboard Replacement
Caution: The motherboard is a delicate component prone to damage, so handle it carefully.
- Backup all important data on an external device before replacement.
- The old motherboard must be removed and replaced with a new one in the LG Tribute HD LS676.
Step 1 | Battery and SD Card
Insert fingernail or plastic opening tool into the cutout and pry outward.
- Remove the back cover by prying it away from the main body.
Step 2
Remove the battery.
- Slide the SD Card out as indicated.
Step 3 | Motherboard
Remove twelve 2mm JIS #00 screws from the mid-frame.
Step 4
Remove the antenna extender from the mid-frame using a plastic opening tool.
Step 5
Remove the mid-frame using your fingers.
Step 6
Use a plastic opening tool to pry the front camera and rear camera connectors off the motherboard.
- Pull the cameras away from the motherboard to completely remove them.
Step 7
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the front facing speaker.
- Continue prying until the speaker is loose.
- Remove the speaker from the phone completely.
Step 8
Remove the display cable from the motherboard
Step 9
- Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry up the motherboard.
- Pull it away from the rest of the device.
