LG Tribute HD Front Camera Replacement
If water, dirt, or sand has damaged the front camera lens, clean it first. Otherwise, replace the front camera if the lens is broken or damaged, preventing the camera from turning on.
- Inspect and clean the front camera lens for damage from water, dirt, or sand.
- Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable from the camera to the motherboard if connectivity issues persist.
- Replace the front camera if the lens is broken or damaged, causing the camera not to turn on.
Step 1 | Battery and SD Card
Insert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the cutout and gently pry the back cover outward.
Step 2
Remove the battery from the phone.
- Slide the SD Card out as indicated in the illustration.
Step 3 | Front Camera
Remove the twelve 2mm JIS #00 screws holding the mid-frame in place.
Step 4
Remove the antenna extender using a plastic opening tool.
Step 5
Use your fingers to gently release the mid-frame.
Step 6
Use a plastic opening tool to release the front camera from the motherboard.
- Pull the front camera away from the motherboard to remove.
