LG Stylo 3 Plus Speaker Replacement

Audio issues may arise if dirt and dust accumulate in the top speaker over time. If cleaning doesn't resolve the problem, a replacement top speaker might be necessary. This guide will help you replace it on an LG Stylo 3 Plus.

Step 1 | Back Cover

Ensure power is completely switched off before disassembly.

Place the phone face down on a stable surface.
Use a fingernail or a plastic opening tool to pry the gap at the side of the phone.
Slide your finger or the tool along the edge of the phone, working it around to release the back case.

Step 2 | Battery

Remove the back cover and set it aside.

Insert the opening tool into the gap located under the battery.
Pry the battery out gently to avoid damage.

Step 3 | Rear Camera

Remove 12 x 4mm screws with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the inner case.
Carefully lift out the inner case, taking note of any connectors or wires.

Step 4

Flip the flex cable using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail.

Carefully use precision tweezers to grasp and pull out the camera.

Step 5 | Front Camera

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully flip open the flex cable box.

Lift the front camera off the device using precision tweezers.

Step 6 | Motherboard

Flip open the flex cable box using a blue plastic opening tool.

Be careful when removing the motherboard, as it may be delicate.

Use your hands or a blue plastic opening tool to carefully remove the motherboard.
Ensure all parts are secure during this process.

Step 7 | Top Speaker

Remove the top speaker.
