LG Stylo 3 Plus Motherboard Replacement
Replacing the motherboard on an LG Stylo 3 Plus requires use of this guide.
Step 1 | Back Cover
Power off the phone and place it face down.
- Insert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the side gap.
- Carefully slide your finger or the tool along the edge to release the back case.
Step 2 | Battery
Remove the back cover and set it aside.
- Insert the opening tool into the small gap below the battery.
- Pry the battery out, taking care not to cause damage.
Step 3 | Rear Camera
Remove all 12 4mm screws with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
- Use the plastic opening tool to pry open the inner case.
- Be cautious when completely removing the inner case.
Step 4
- Flip the flex cable using a fingernail or the plastic opening tool.
- Pull out the camera using precision tweezers, handling it carefully.
Step 5 | Front Camera
Flip open the flex cable box using a plastic opening tool.
Lift the front camera with precision tweezers.
Step 6 | Motherboard
Flip open the flex cable box with a blue plastic opening tool.
- Remove the motherboard using your hands or a blue plastic opening tool.
- Verify all parts are secure before removing the motherboard.
