LG Stylo 3 Plus Display Assembly Replacement

A cracked or malfunctioning screen can be a major issue with a cellphone.

  • The screen is prone to breaking and cracking when dropped from various heights.
  • Certain images may not display properly due to dead pixels or other impurities in the screen.

Replace the screen if it's cracked or malfunctioning. Follow this guide to replace the display assembly in your LG Stylo 3 Plus:

Step 1 | Back Cover

Power off the phone.

Make sure it's completely shut down to avoid accidental power-on during disassembly.

  • Place the phone face down on a stable surface.
  • Spudger or fingernail into gap on side of phone.
  • Ease back case off by sliding along edge with finger or tool.

Step 2 | Battery

Prevent damage by carefully removing the battery.

  • Remove the back cover and set it aside.
  • Insert an opening tool into the gap below the battery.
  • Pry the battery gently out of its compartment.

Step 3 | Rear Camera

Remove the twelve 4mm screws using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Use the plastic opening tool to remove the inner case.
  • Carefully lift out the inner case.

Flip the flex cable using your fingernail or a plastic opening tool.

  • Grasp and pull out the camera with precision tweezers.

Step 5 | Front Camera

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully flip open the flex cable box.

  • Employ precision tweezers to gently lift the front camera away from the device.

Step 6 | Motherboard

Open the flex cable box using a blue plastic opening tool.

  • Remove the motherboard, holding it carefully with your hands or a blue plastic opening tool.
  • Ensure all parts are secure before taking out the motherboard.

Step 7 | Headphone Jack

Remove the headphone jack.

Step 8 | Display Assembly

The display assembly is the only component left.
