LG Stylo 2 Display Replacement

A damaged or unresponsive display may require replacement, which involves removing all internal components due to the display's fixed position within the phone.

  • Disassemble the entire phone to access the display for replacement.
  • Display removal is not feasible without risk of damaging surrounding components.

Step 1 | Battery

Remove the back case by inserting a plastic opening tool into the initial gap.

  • Place the phone face down on a flat surface.
  • Slowly guide the tool around the case until it comes off easily.

Place the back case aside.

  • Remove the battery using a finger or the opening tool.
  • Careful not to damage the phone or the battery.

Step 3 | Rear Camera

Remove all eleven 4mm Phillips #00 screws.

  • Set screws aside in a safe location.
  • Use the Plastic opener tool to remove the inner case.
  • Gently pull the inner case away from the main unit.

Flip the flex cable shown in red box with your finger or an opener.

  • Hold the precision tweezers firmly and carefully grasp the camera.
  • Gently pull the camera away from its mounting point.

Step 5 | Motherboard

Handle the motherboard with care — potential for damage.

  • Flip the cables (red boxes) gently using an opener tool.
  • Remove the motherboard, taking care not to touch its components.
  • Protect the work surface with a soft material and place the motherboard on it.

Step 6 | Display

Remove the Vibrator carefully.

  • Next, remove the sensor with care.
  • Before proceeding, prepare for film removal.

Peel off the film using tweezers.

  • Remove the headphone jack using tweezers with gentle care.
  • Securely store all three devices in a safe, known location.
