LG Stylo 2 Plus Rear Camera Replacement
Rear camera replacement requires care due to fragile parts.
- Replace the rear facing camera unit if your LG Stylo 2 Plus takes poor quality pictures or fails to capture images with the rear camera.
- The task is intermediate in difficulty and demands a gentle approach when handling components.
Step 1 | Rear Case
Insert a spudger into the opening on the back of the case.
- Hold the spudger parallel to the frame of the phone.
- Slide it along the edge, forcing the casing to pop off.
Step 2 | Battery
Insert your fingernail or the flat end of the spudger into the dimple at the bottom of the battery and lift up.
- Firmly grasp the battery.
- Remove the battery from the phone.
Step 3 | Mid-Frame
Use a JIS #000 screwdriver to remove the 11 x 4mm screws surrounding the mid-frame.
Step 4
Insert metal spudger into dimple at base of cover.
- Pry upward to remove mid-frame.
Step 5 | Rear Camera
- Hold the cover with the rear camera unit facing up.
- Use tweezers to grasp the rear camera unit and gently lift it straight out of the cover housing.
