LG Rebel 4 LTE Disassembly
Familiarize yourself with the device's internal components before starting the repair.
- Remove the SIM card tray by inserting a paper clip into the small hole and gently prying it open.
- Screw off the 8 Pentalobe screws from the back of the phone using a Pentalobe Y000 screwdriver.
- Gently pry the back cover away from the phone body.
Step 1 | Remove the Cover
Locate the indent on the back left side of the phone.
- Insert a opening tool into the indent and gently pry until it opens.
- Once opened, remove the backing.
Step 2 | Remove Internal Components
- Pry the battery out using a spudger.
- If installed, press in on the SD/TF card and release it.
- Remove the SIM card with your fingers.
Step 3 | Remove Screws
Remove all 12 Phillips screws using a #000 Phillips screwdriver.
Do not lose any of the screws.
Step 4 | Remove Charging Port Cover
Carefully pry the cover with a spudger around the charging port.
Step 5 | Remove the Screen
Locate the top corner of the phone as shown in the reference image.
- Insert an opening pick into the gap between the glass screen and the phone's frame.
Step 6 | Remove the Motherboard
Avoid letting the main camera dislodge during motherboard removal.
- Pry the screen from top and bottom using an opening pick.
- This will release the tabs holding the motherboard in place.
Step 7 | Disconnect the Connector Cable
Do not use a screwdriver or prying tool to avoid damaging the phone.
Gently pull up on the component with your fingers to disconnect the motherboard cable.
Step 8 | Remove the Camera
Separate the camera from the magnet by gently pulling it upwards.
Step 9 | Disassembly Complete
Reassembly is now complete.
- Reverse the disassembly order and start with step 8.
- For each part, ensure it clicks securely into place before proceeding.
