LG Realm Rear Facing Camera Replacement

Ensure the device is fully powered down. Remove the battery and back casing.

Step 1 | Battery

Insert thumbnail into MicroUSB port.

Careful not to damage the port or thumbnail.

Pull up on thumbnail to loosen the back.
Use a nail to loosen case on all four sides.
Once loose, carefully remove the back case.

Step 2

Insert the thumbnail into the tab located below the battery.

Pull the thumbnail away from the phone and then remove it.

Step 3 | Plastic Midframe

Remove back cover and battery.

Use a Phillips #J000 screwdriver to remove all 11 screws

Step 4

Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry and separate the midframe from the rest of the phone.

Pry around the edges, working your way across the frame.
Continue until the midframe is fully detached and separated from the rest of the phone.

Step 5 | Rear Facing Camera

Careful not to damage the camera or surrounding components.

Identify the rear facing camera.
Pry the cable away from its connection using a plastic opening tool.

Step 6

Remove the ribbon cable.

The camera is now easily removable by hand.
Remove the rear-facing camera.
