LG Realm Front Facing Camera Replacement

Power off the device and remove the battery and back casing.

Step 1 | Battery

Insert thumbnail into MicroUSB port and pull up to loosen the back.

  • Use a nail to loosen the case on all four sides.
  • Once loose, remove the back case.

Step 2

Remove the battery first, then pull away the thumbnail.

  • Insert the removed battery into its tab below the new thumbnail.

Step 3 | Plastic Midframe

Remove the back cover and battery.

  • Use a Phillips #J000 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws surrounding the plastic midframe.

Step 4

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry and separate the midframe from the phone's main structure.

Step 5 | Front Facing Camera

Locate the front facing camera on the motherboard.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the ribbon cable loose.

Step 6

Remove the ribbon cable for easy removal of the front-facing camera
