LG Power Screen Replacement

Accidental damage to the screen's image can occur during reassembly if not done correctly.

  • Follow this guide to safely remove the screen from your phone for repair or replacement.
  • Exercise caution when handling the back plating, mid plating, and screen components.

Step 1 | Battery

Use a plastic spudger or guitar pick only, as they won't damage your device.

  • Slide one of these tools between the back and front panel at the bottom.

Remove back panel by gently prying it away from the device.

Remove the battery by grasping it with the thumb tab.

Step 4 | Motherboard

Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the eight 4mm screws located along the side of the mid panel.

Insert a plastic opening tool between the mid and front panels.

  • Slide the tool to release the middle panel.
  • Set the mid panel aside.

Use a plastic opening tool to detach the motherboard and touchscreen from each other.

  • The motherboard will be free from the phone once detached.

Step 7 | Screen

May require patience due to strong adhesive bond.

  • Remove the motherboard from its mount.
  • Insert a thin plastic opening tool between the screen and the surrounding frame.
