LG Power Motherboard Replacement
Be careful when handling the internal components, as accidental damage can occur.
- Remove the back panel using a plastic spudger.
- Next, carefully remove the mid plate.
Step 1 | Battery
Use a plastic spudger, not a metal one, to avoid damaging your device.
- Insert the plastic spudger between the back and front panel at the bottom.
- A guitar pick is an acceptable alternative.
Step 2
Remove the back panel by gently prying it off, then set it aside.
Step 3
Remove the battery by pulling it out with the thumb tab.
Step 4 | Motherboard
- Remove the eight 4mm screws from the side of the mid panel.
- Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver head for this operation.
Step 5
- Insert a plastic opening tool between the mid panel and front panel.
- Remove the middle panel with the tool.
- Set aside the mid panel.
Be careful not to damage surrounding components.
Step 6
Disconnect the motherboard and touchscreen with a plastic opening tool.
- The motherboard is now detached and can be removed.
