LG Phoenix 2 Speaker Replacement

Replacing the KRP621 W1P speaker may be necessary if the LG Phoenix 2's speaker is not functioning properly and there is no sound coming from it.

Step 1 | Battery

  • Insert a fingernail into the notch located at the bottom edge of the phone.
  • Pull the back cover with one hand while holding the rest of the device steady.
  • Run your fingernail along the edge to loosen the back cover.

  • Insert a fingernail into the notch at the bottom edge of the battery.
  • Pull the battery out.

Locate the SIM card on the back of the phone, top right corner.

  • Push the SIM card gently from left to right using your thumb.

Remove all 9 Phillips-head screws from the back panel.

  • Use a #J00 Phillips head screwdriver.
  • Rotate each screw counterclockwise to release.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the split at the bottom of the phone, between the bottom shield and the rest of the device.

  • Pry the bottom shield to separate it from the phone using the tool.
  • Once loose, you can remove it by hand.

Insert the flat end of the Spudger between the screen and the chromed frame.

  • Run the Spudger along the frame to separate the front part of the phone from the back shield.

Use the Spudger to remove the speaker.
