LG Phoenix 2 Screen Replacement

  • LG Phoenix 2 screen replacement required due to cracks or unresponsive screen.

If screen is cracked, risk of damage from loose glass shards.

Step 1 | Battery

Locate the notch at the phone's bottom edge.

  • Position a finger in the notch to create leverage.
  • Pull with one hand while stabilizing the phone, running your nail along the edge.

Locate the notch at the bottom edge of the battery.

  • Use your fingernail to gently pry the battery from its compartment.
  • Pull the battery out in a smooth, steady motion.

Step 3 | Rear Camera

Locate the SIM card in the top right corner on the back of the phone.

  • Push the SIM card from left to right using your thumb.

Remove the back panel by unscrewing all 9 screws using a Phillips head #00 screwdriver.

  • Rotate each screw counterclockwise to release it.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the split at the bottom of the phone, between the bottom shield and the rest of the phone.

  • Pry the bottom shield using the plastic opening tool to separate it from the phone.
  • The shield should be loose enough to be removed with your hand once separated.

Insert the flat end of the Spudger between the screen and the chromed frame.

  • Run the Spudger along the frame to separate the front part from the back shield.

  • Position the Spudger or plastic opening tool under the camera connector.
  • Lever the camera connector free with gentle force.
  • After disconnection, remove the camera unit.

Remove the front camera by following the same procedure used for the rear camera, as outlined in the previous step.

Step 9 | Screen

Use a Spudger to gently pry out the speaker.

Use the Spudger to remove the screen connector.

Use a spudger to gently pry apart the motherboard and back frame.

Apply gentle heat to the screen using a heat gun or an iOpener

  • Move the heat source slowly along the edges of the phone, ensuring uniform heating.

  • Insert the Jimmy and run its blade along the outer edge of the screen.
  • The screen should now be freed from the frame.
