LG Phoenix 2 Motherboard Replacement

Locate the notch at the bottom edge of the phone.

  • Use a fingernail to pry the back cover open by running it along the edge.
  • Pull on the back cover with one hand while keeping the rest of the phone steady.

Pull the battery out by inserting a fingernail into the notch at its bottom edge.

Remove all 9 3.0mm screws from the phone's back using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry between the screen and the outer chrome edge.

  • The goal is to separate the bottom shield from the rest of the phone.

Disconnect the ribbon connectors using a plastic opening tool:

  • The front camera connector.
  • The rear camera connector.
  • The screen connector.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry the motherboard away from its mounting clips on the back frame.

  • Pull the motherboard out of its recess and remove it from the device.
