LG Phoenix 2 Camera Replacement
If your LG Phoenix 2's camera does not function correctly, replace it immediately to avoid further damage and data loss.
- Replace the non-functional camera with a new one if the phone fails to take photos or captures blurry images regardless of position or subject.
Step 1 | Battery
Locate the small notch at the bottom edge of the phone.
- Insert a fingernail into the notch to create leverage.
- Pry bar or credit card can also be used, but take care not to scratch the phone's surface.
- Hold the phone steady with one hand and use your other hand to pull on the back cover along its edge.
Step 2
Insert a fingernail into the battery's notch on the bottom edge.
- Pull the battery out.
Step 3 | Rear Camera
- Locate the SIM card at the top right corner of the back of the phone.
- Push the SIM card gently from left to right using your thumb to remove it.
Step 4
- Use a Phillips head #00 screwdriver to remove all 9 screws from the back.
- To remove each screw, turn it counterclockwise.
Step 5
- Insert a plastic opening tool into the split at the bottom of the phone.
- Pry the bottom shield away from the phone until it is loose.
- Remove the bottom shield by hand.
Step 6
Insert the flat end of the Spudger between the screen and the chromed frame.
- Run the Spudger along the frame to separate the front part of the phone from the back shield.
Step 7
Place the flat end of the Spudger or plastic opening tool under the camera connector.
- Lever the camera connector gently free using the Spudger or plastic opening tool.
- Once disconnected, remove the camera.
Step 8
Remove the front camera by following the same procedure as for the rear camera.
