LG Optimus V Screen Replacement
Replace the screen on your LG Optimus V phone with these steps.
Step 1 | Battery
Flip the phone over and expose the back of the device.
Step 2
Locate the opening above the camera.
- Use a spudger to detach the back cover.
Step 3
Remove the battery using a spudger with gentle pressure.
Step 4 | Camera
Remove the six screws from the silver casing.
- Apply a plastic opening tool and gently pry off the silver casing.
Step 5
Use a plastic opening tool to pry loose each component.
Step 6
Remove the Y3114C part using a plastic opening tool.
- Pry off the camera using a plastic opening tool.
Step 7 | Screen
Remove the two screws located on either side of the charging port.
Step 8
Use the plastic opening tool to lift up the connectors on both sides of the motherboard.
Step 9
Disconnect the motherboard connectors from the surrounding components.
- Carefully lift the motherboard and set it aside on a flat, stable surface.
Step 10
Use a plastic opening tool to detach the screen from the phone's plastic casing.
