LG Optimus T Screen Replacement

Working on a live device may cause electric shock.

  • Shut down and unplug your device before starting work.
  • Insert the plastic opening tool into the indentation at the top of the phone to release the back cover.

  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Note the small indentation located to the left of the camera lens.

Remove the six J0 Phillip's head 4.5mm screws.

Retain all screws for reassembly purposes.

Careful not to damage the casing or surrounding components.

  • Locate the indentations on the top and bottom of the phone for the interior case removal points.
  • Use a spudger or a more durable prying device to carefully pry off the interior case.

Hold up the connector tab.

Tweezers might be needed for difficult-to-remove tabs.

Remove the SD card mount. If necessary, use a plastic opening tool for assistance.

Disconnect the charging port cable.

  • Remove the two 1.8mm J0 screws using a J0 screwdriver.
  • The charging port and motherboard are connected; note their positions for reassembly.
  • Retain all removed screws to ensure easy reinstallation later.

Tweezers may be needed for stubborn connector tabs.

  • Remove the connector tab.
  • Afterwards, take out the motherboard.

Use a spudger to carefully release the metal panel.

  • Pry off the panel at its 4 retaining points.
  • Once free, remove the screen from the device's front.
