LG Optimus T Button Replacement

Working on a powered-on device poses a risk of electric shock — ensure it is turned off and unplugged.

• Use a Spudger to remove the phone's back cover by inserting it into the top indentation.

Locate the battery and identify the indentation near the camera lens.

• Pull up on the battery from this indentation using your finger.

Remove the six 4.5 mm screws with a J0 screwdriver.

Be careful not to damage the phone with a metal spudger.

• Remove the interior case by inserting a spudger into the indentations at the top or bottom of the phone.
• If needed, use a metal spudger as a last resort; be cautious to avoid damage.

• Remove the power button located at the top of the phone.
• Remove the volume button found on the side of the phone.

Careful note: An indentation near the volume button's insertion point will serve as a guide for reassembly.

• During reassembly, place buttons onto marked metal nodes.

Pull upwards on the connector tab.

Remove SD card mount.

• Insert a plastic opening tool into the right-hand side.
• Pry the SD card mount off.

Locate the four retaining clips. Use a plastic opening tool to pry each one loose.

Disconnect the motherboard as it is still connected to the charging port.

• Remove two black J0 Phillips head 1.8 mm screws from the charging port.
• After unscrewing, carefully pull out the motherboard.

Remove the home buttons by popping them off.
