LG Optimus L7 P705 SIM Card Slot Replacement

The purpose of this guide is to walk you through the process of replacing the SIM Card Slot on an LG Optimus L7 P705 in a sequential manner.

Step 1 | Home Button

Use a plastic opening tool to separate the back cover.

  • Work the tool into the seam, prying the cover open.
  • Continue until the back cover is completely detached.

Make sure not to damage any internal components.

  • Remove the battery and SIM card from their respective compartments.

Remove all twelve screws using a Phillips 000 screwdriver.

Remove the bottom plate that covers the charger port.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam and gently pry the cover open.

Step 5

Flip the device over to its display side.

  • Lift off the glass screen (display).

Step 6

Remove the home screen button.

Replace it as necessary to maintain proper function.

Step 7 | SIM Card Slot

Flip the device over to its backside.

  • Lift off the three board-to-board connectors on the left-hand side using a plastic spudger.

Step 8

Use a plastic spudger to lift off the wire connector located at the right bottom of the board.

Remove the mount, ensuring it comes off with both the SIM card and the motherboard.
