LG Optimus G Pro Midframe Replacement

Step 1 | Remove Back Cover.

Ensure the device is not charging before starting work.

  • Pry the back casing off from the small indent on the bottom left using a fingernail or plastic opening tool.

Step 2 | Remove the Battery.

Remove the outer casing, exposing the back.

  • Battery pull up from red mark using your finger.
  • The battery will come out at an angle and can be removed easily.

Wait until battery is fully removed before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3 | Screw Removal

Remove the battery first.

  • Count and locate the 14 screws on the back of the inner case.
  • Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove each screw, placing them in a safe location to avoid loss.

Step 4 | Remove Cover

Remove all screws.

  • Insert an opening tool into a corner using a sliding motion.
  • Move it along the edges to loosen them.
  • The inside cover will pry apart from the shell.

Step 5 | Completion

Verify that the inner cover has been successfully removed.
