LG Optimus F60 Speaker Replacement

The LG Optimus F60 speaker replacement should only take around 8 minutes, even though you're a novice.

Step 1 | Battery

Position the small plastic opening tool or your finger under the lip of the phone, near the USB port.

  • Pry or lift up on the indent using the opening tool.
  • The back panel should now be removable.

  • Position a small plastic opening tool or your finger on the indentation at the base of the battery.
  • Pry upwards or gently lift using your finger to release the battery.

Step 3 | Speaker

Remove eight Phillips #000 screws with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Insert the iFixit opening tool into the indentation.
  • Pry the plastic with the iFixit opening tool to remove the lower back panel.
  • Remove the lower back panel from the device.

  • Begin prying at the changing port, working your way along the edges until it's loose.
  • Once freed, carefully remove the back panel.

Pry the foam seal gently away from the speaker.

  • Use tweezers to carefully remove the speaker.
  • Replace the speaker with a new one if necessary.
