LG Optimus F60 Front Camera Replacement

The front camera replacement on an LG Optimus F60 can be completed in approximately 7 minutes.

Step 1 | Battery

Position a plastic opening tool or your finger under the phone's USB port.

  • Pry upwards on the USB port indent.
  • Continue prying until the back panel comes loose.

Locate the battery and position a small plastic opening tool or your finger in the indentation at its base.

  • Pry the battery upwards using the tool, or lift it out with your finger.

Step 3 | Front Camera

Unscrew 8 x 4mm screws using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Insert the plastic opening tool into the indentation marked with a red square.
  • Pry the tool upwards to release the lower back panel.
  • Remove the lower back panel from the device.

Move the plastic opening tool around the device, loosening the back panel.

  • Once loose, carefully lift and remove the back panel.

Locate the digitizer connection on the lower left-hand side of the device.

  • Lift up the connector using a pair of tweezers, and then gently remove it.

Locate the front camera on the upper left-hand side, marked in red.

  • Use tweezers to carefully disconnect the front camera from the connector marked in orange.
  • Remove and replace the front camera.
