LG Optimus Dynamic II L39C Camera Replacement
Replace a faulty camera with a new one.
Step 1 | Remove the back case
Pushing the tool into the USB port can damage your phone.
- Position the blue plastic opening tool at the edge of the USB opening.
- Gently push down and pry the case off the phone using a gentle prying motion.
Step 2 | Remove the Battery
Remove the old battery from the phone and install the replacement battery.
Step 3 | Remove the SD Card
Remove the SD card from the phone by gently pulling it out.
Step 4 | Remove the screws from the midframe
Remove the midframe by unscrewing its six P#H 000 screws.
Step 5 | Remove the midframe
Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry the midframe loose from the phone's edge.
- Gently work your way around the perimeter of the device.
- Continue until the midframe is completely removed.
Step 6 | Disconnect the screen from the motherboard
Disconnect the small orange tab from the motherboard using a plastic opening tool.
- Remove the silver tab located above the disconnected orange tab.
Step 7 | Separate the screen and motherboard
Feed the orange and silver tabbed ribbons gently through the hole in the motherboard.
Be careful not to pinch or stretch the ribbons.
Step 8 | Detach tabs to separate the camera
Use your spudger to gently push the black snap-off clips located on each side of the motherboard.
Careful, they may snap off with some force but should come loose relatively easily.
Step 9 | Separate orange tab
Turn the phone over and gently pull up the orange tab attached to the camera.
Step 10 | Separate the camera from the motherboard
Grasp the camera and gently pull it out.
