LG Lucid 4G Headphone Jack Replacement

Disassemble your LG Lucid 4G phone for headphone jack replacement.

Step 1 | Battery

Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off.

  • Select "Power Off" from the menu.
  • Navigate to and select "OK" when prompted about shutting down.

Flip the phone over with the back plate facing up.

  • Insert a fingernail or prying tool into the notch at the bottom and gently lift the back plate.

Use the notch near the bottom center to pry out the battery using a tool such as a plastic spudger or your finger.

Step 4 | Headphone Jack

Remove the 7 PH000 screws from the back of the phone.

Remove all screws.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to lift off the plastic cover, starting with notches on the left side by the micro SD port.

Prying may be difficult; some force may be required.

Remove the screw in the top left quadrant.

  • Remove the SIM card holder using an opening tool

  • Be careful not to damage the ribbon cable as you lift the SIM card holder.

  • Disconnect the ribbon connector from the rest of the phone while holding the SIM card holder with the opening tool.

  • Disconnect the five ribbon cables attached to the motherboard.
  • Risk of damage to internal components if not done carefully.

    Remove the motherboard.

Lift the additional ribbon in the top right quadrant.

  • The audio jack will come out easily after lifting this ribbon.
