Using only the display without a frame is not recommended as it may compromise the structural integrity of the device.
Apply heat to the plastic back panel using a heat gun or heating pad.
Be cautious of thermal damage — use low heat settings.
Use a thin metal pry tool to separate the adhesive from the frame, then peel off the back cover.
Remove the top antenna panel by first taking out 11 same-sized Phillips screws.
Remove the battery from its connector.
Release all remaining Lego-style connectors and cables, but do not disconnect the camera connections.
Remove the main logic board by grasping from the top and pulling it out.
Leave the antenna lines connected if possible to avoid damage.
Careful not to damage the pressure-ribbon connection.
Remove the pressure connection pad by gently pulling it away from the frame.
Use tweezers or a bent pry tool to push the buttons out from within the frame.
Remove any small components such as vibration motor, antenna sticker, and earspeaker from their original locations.
Risk of damage to internal cells: do not bend the battery.
Remove all protective plastic parts from the new frame assembly.
Tighten screws into place.
Test the device before closing the back panel.
