LG K7 Screen Replacement

Place phone face-down on a stable surface.

  • Use a suitable tool (e.g., a plastic spudger) or your fingernail to carefully pry the back cover away from the phone's casing.

Do not force the battery removal — risk of damage.

  • Lift the battery out using a plastic spudger or your nail.
  • The battery should come out easily. If stuck, stop and reassess.

Remove the power button assembly with a Phillips #0 screwdriver by unscrewing the single 3.5mm screw holding it in place.

  • Lift out the power button and volume rocker assembly and set it aside.

Careful: the plastic bit may detach forcefully.

  • Unscrew the three 3.5mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  • Set the screws aside.
  • Use a spudger to gently pry off the plastic bit.

Be cautious: the plastic piece may fly off suddenly when removed.

  • Use a spudger to carefully pry off the plastic component.
  • Be prepared for the part to snap out quickly and possibly fly away.

  • Unscrew the five 3.5mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  • Pry the housing open with a spudger, accessing the motherboard.

Risk of damage to the motherboard.

  • Insert a plastic spudger under the motherboard and lift it out.

Flip the device upside down and find the connector linking the digitizer to the motherboard.

  • Remove the connector using a plastic spudger.

Use caution when heating the screen — risk of burns.

  • Flip over the screen housing and apply gentle heat from a hair dryer.
  • The adhesive will soften, allowing you to separate the screen from its housing.

Take great care when attempting to remove the screen as the glass may crack or shatter.

  • Use a plastic spudger to gently pry the glass away from the housing, working slowly and carefully.
  • Once the spudger is in place, drag it around the edge of the screen to separate the glass and housing.

Remove any remaining adhesive from the screen and digitizer with a soft cloth.

  • Inspect the housing for any debris or broken parts.
