LG K40 Battery Replacement

Step 1 | Separating the back

Insert an opening pick and carefully pry the back panel away from the phone.

Remove the back panel by pulling it away.

Be aware of a remaining touch sensor cable connected to the main board.

Step 4 | Unscrew

Remove all visible screws.

Step 5 | Remove plastic cover

Remove the black plastic cover as shown in the diagram.

Step 6 | Disconnect battery

Remove the battery.

A punctured battery poses danger from chemical leaks or fire.

  • Pry up the battery with considerable force, as there are no cables underneath it.
  • Consider using an adhesive softener to aid in removing the battery.
