LG K30 Motherboard Replacement

Failing to turn off the phone properly may cause damage during the repair process.

  • Replace the motherboard to resolve boot loop issues.

Step 1 | Battery

Never use a phone with a charged lithium-ion battery — risk of explosion or fire if accidentally damaged.

  • Charge your LG K30 below 25% and then power it off before disassembly.
  • Apply a Jimmy and a Metal Spudger to carefully pry open the back case.

Remove thirteen 3.4 mm Phillips #00 screws securing the midframe.

Use a metal spudger or plastic opening tool to pry open the outer cover.

Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.

Never apply excessive force, which can cause a battery puncture.

  • Pry the battery using a spudger, being mindful of adhesive.
  • Gently pry the battery to prevent damage or puncture.

Step 6 | Motherboard

  • Disconnect the front camera connector using a spudger.
  • Remove the display cable connector with a spudger.

Use a spudger or your bare hands to carefully pry and remove the motherboard assembly from the display assembly.
