LG K30 Headphone Jack Replacement

  • Verify that headphones and device are functioning properly, then inspect for physical damage or debris in the audio port.
  • If cleaning the port does not resolve the issue, proceed with replacing the headphone jack.

Step 1 | Battery

Never discharge a Li-ion battery below 25% — risk of explosion or fire.

  • Power off your Phone before disassembly.
  • Discharge the battery to below 25% using normal usage.

Use the Jimmey and Metal Spudger to slowly pry open the back case.

Remove all thirteen 3.4 mm Phillips #00 screws holding the midframe to the display assembly.

Remove the outer cover using a metal spudger or plastic opening tool.

Use the flat end of a spudger to detach the battery connector from the logic board.

Be cautious when handling the battery to avoid puncture or damage.

  • Use a spudger to carefully pry the battery from the phone.
  • Take care not to bend or puncture the battery, as it may be adhered to the phone's back.

Step 6 | Motherboard

  • Disconnect the front camera connector using a spudger.
  • Also, use a spudger to disconnect the display cable connector.

  • Use a spudger or your bare hands to gently remove the motherboard assembly.

Step 8 | Headphone Jack

Pry the headphone jack out using the point of a spudger.
