LG K30 Battery Replacement

If the battery is swollen, take precautions before proceeding.

  • Back panel assembly removal: Peel away the display cables for safe access.
  • For optional alternative: Carefully support the display while removing the battery.
  • Remove the battery from the LG K30.

Calibrate your new battery:

  • Charge to 100%, then keep charging for at least two hours.
  • Use your LG K30 until it shuts off due to low power.
  • Uninterruptedly charge the battery back to 100%.

Discharge the battery below 25% to prevent explosion or fire.

  • Power off your phone before starting disassembly.
  • Use a Jimm and Metal Spudger to carefully pry open the back case from the outside.

Remove all thirteen 3.4mm Phillips #00 screws from the midframe.

Insert metal spudger or plastic opening tool into gap and gently pry open outer cover.

Use the flat end of a spudger to release the battery connector from the logic board.

Prying force may cause battery puncture or damage.

  • Use a spudger to carefully pry the battery from the phone.
  • Be cautious of adhesive between the battery and phone, and apply gentle prying pressure.
  • Avoid bending or puncturing the battery.
