LG Intuition Volume Buttons Replacement
- Volume Buttons malfunctioning? Replace them using this guide.
Step 1 | Battery
Position the device to expose the lowermost screws.
Step 2
Use the magnetic driver with a P5 bit to remove the two 7mm screws securing the back panel.
Step 3
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back panel away from the front screen.
- This will expose the battery and other internal components.
Step 4
Remove the Phillips #0 screw using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
- The screw is located under the metal bracket, holding it in place.
- The ribbon cable connects the battery to other components.
Step 5
Be careful when prying the ribbon cable.
- Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the ribbon cable.
- The cable connects the battery to the motherboard.
Step 6
Carefully lift the battery out of its compartment.
Step 7 | Plastic Motherboard Shield
Remove thirteen 5mm screws covering the motherboard using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Step 8
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the plastic shield away from the motherboard.
- This will expose the motherboard and ribbon cables for each component.
Step 9 | Volume Buttons
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the ribbon cable from the phone's motherboard.
- Pull the ribbon cable gently upwards to release it from the phone's components.
- This will also free the volume buttons from their connection.
