LG Intuition Volume Buttons Replacement

  • Volume Buttons malfunctioning? Replace them using this guide.

Step 1 | Battery

Position the device to expose the lowermost screws.

Use the magnetic driver with a P5 bit to remove the two 7mm screws securing the back panel.

Step 3

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back panel away from the front screen.

  • This will expose the battery and other internal components.

Step 4

Remove the Phillips #0 screw using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

  • The screw is located under the metal bracket, holding it in place.
  • The ribbon cable connects the battery to other components.

Step 5

Be careful when prying the ribbon cable.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the ribbon cable.
  • The cable connects the battery to the motherboard.

Carefully lift the battery out of its compartment.

Step 7 | Plastic Motherboard Shield

Remove thirteen 5mm screws covering the motherboard using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Step 8

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the plastic shield away from the motherboard.

  • This will expose the motherboard and ribbon cables for each component.

Step 9 | Volume Buttons

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the ribbon cable from the phone's motherboard.

  • Pull the ribbon cable gently upwards to release it from the phone's components.
  • This will also free the volume buttons from their connection.
