LG Intuition Camera Replacement

If your camera does not function or turns off immediately, it may need a replacement.

  • Follow this guide to perform the camera replacement procedure.

Step 1 | Battery

Position the device to expose the bottom screws.

Remove the two 7mm screws with a P5 bit using a magnetic driver.

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back panel away from the front screen.

  • This will allow access to the battery and other internal components.

Step 4

Remove the Phillips #0 screw using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

  • The screw is 5mm in length.
  • The screw holds the metal bracket in place.
  • The metal bracket protects the battery's ribbon cable.

Use a plastic opening tool carefully to pry the ribbon cable connecting the battery to the motherboard.

Remove the battery by gently lifting it out of its compartment.

Step 7 | Plastic Motherboard Shield

Remove the 13 x 5mm screws from the plastic shield with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Step 8

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the plastic shield away from the motherboard.

  • This will expose the motherboard and ribbon cables underneath.

Step 9 | Camera

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the ribbon cable away from the motherboard, located below the camera.

Step 10

Step 10 image

Underneath the camera, locate the attached ribbon.

  • Lift the ribbon up by its base.
  • Pull the camera unit outward while keeping the ribbon taut.
