LG Grace Rear Speaker Replacement

Never attempt to pry open a swollen battery — risk of explosion.

Power off device before starting any repairs.

  • Identify issue: Distorted, intermittent, or no sound through rear speaker.
  • This guide is for LG Grace (LGL59BL) model only. Rear speaker is responsible for non-headphone/external audio and ear piece calls.

If battery is swollen, do not attempt to pry it open.

Locate the speaker on the removed plate.

The speaker is not connected to the motherboard.

  • Place a Jimmy tool against the edge of the speaker and gently pry it out.
  • No solder connections hold the speaker in place.

When installing a new speaker, ensure proper orientation: if correct, it will click into place; otherwise, it may fall out of its seating.
