LG G8 ThinQ Speaker System Replacement

Replacing the speaker system may resolve issues like loss of sound, poor quality sound, and distorted sound.

  • The rear panel uses adhesive; you can replace it for a better factory fit.

Step 1 | SIM Card Tray

Power down the device completely.

  • Insert the SIM card eject tool into the pinhole on the lower right side of the phone.
  • Remove the SIM card and tray.

Step 2 | Back Panel

Place the phone screen down.

  • Insert opening cards between the back panel and frame.
  • Pry the back panel away from the phone with equal pressure.
  • Use an opening tool to separate the back panel completely when enough space is created.

Step 3 | Midframe

Remove all 14 screws from the midframe using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Insert an opening tool into the gap around the perimeter of the midframe.
  • Pry carefully to loosen and remove the midframe from the phone.

Step 4 | Speaker System

Remove the speaker system with an opening tool.
