This guide helps replace the screen of your LG G8 ThinQ, which may also restore access to certain functions and displays affected by a damaged screen. Note that complete screen replacement requires disassembling the entire interior of the device.
Unplug and power off your phone.

Remove all 14 screws from the midframe with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

Disconnect the ribbon cable from each camera using a opening tool.
Remove both cameras using an opening tool.
Disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the 3.5mm audio jack to the motherboard using an opening tool.
Be careful not to damage the ribbon cable.
Flip the phone so that the screen is facing up.
It may take multiple attempts to soften the adhesive completely.
Use an opening tool to gently lift the ribbon cable, which will disconnect the battery.
Risk of damage to internal components if battery is not removed carefully.
Pry the battery out of the phone.
Disconnect the screen ribbon cable from the motherboard using a opening tool.
Use an opening tool to remove the vibration motor from the phone casing.
Remove the charging daughter board using a plastic spudger.
