LG G8 ThinQ Battery Replacement

Wear eye protection and exercise caution when handling a swollen battery, as it can be extremely hazardous.

  • Discharge the battery below 25% before disassembling your LG G8 ThinQ.
  • Prepare iFixit's adhesive remover or high-concentration (90%+) isopropyl alcohol to aid in removal of strong adhesive from battery and back panel.

Failure to properly discharge the battery may result in damage or injury due to a swollen battery.

For optimal results, replace adhesive after disassembly to closely replicate the factory fit and finish.
