Replacing a damaged rear-facing camera requires the following procedures:
Pull the bottom end of the phone out of its body while pressing and holding the battery release button.
Press inward with some force to eject the tray — risk of damage if too much pressure is applied.
Remove the 2 x 5.5mm Phillips #00 screws from the base of the phone.
Insert the plastic opening tool into the seam between the glass screen and the metal body.
Apply minimal force to pry the glass from the body, only a slight amount is required.
Insert Spudger into the space between body and screen.
When reinstalling, press edges from top to bottom for a secure fit.
Separate the display from the main assembly by gently peeling them apart.
Insert plastic opening tool between camera-ribbon connector and motherboard, then gently pull up.
Remove the camera with tweezers, taking care not to touch the ribbon.
