LG G5 Front Panel Assembly

Hold the battery release button and pull the bottom of the phone out.

• Ensure a firm grip on the phone's bottom edge.
• Continue to hold the battery release button while doing so.

Insert the sim card eject tool (with 0.8mm sim card eject head) into the small hole on the sim card tray.

• Press inward with some force to eject the tray.
• Pull the sim card tray out of the phone.

Remove the two 5.5mm Phillips #00 screws from the base of the phone.

Insert plastic opening tool into the seam between the glass screen and metal body.

• Pry the glass from the body, applying gentle pressure only – do not remove it completely.

Insert a nylon spudger into the gap between body and screen.

• Pull inward to increase separation.
• Slowly slide the spudger up the edge until the screen separates from the body.

Press the screen edges down from top to bottom when reassembling to ensure secure fit.

Separate the screen from the body. Ensure they are fully detached.
