LG G5 Charging Port Replacement

Press and hold the power button until the phone powers off.

• Hold the battery release button, then gently pull the bottom edge of the phone away from its case.

Remove the old battery from the bottom half.

• Place the new battery in its original position, ensuring correct orientation.
• Align the arrows on the battery and the housing to confirm proper placement.

Remove the two 5.5mm Phillips #00 screws from the base of the phone.

Insert the plastic opening tool into the bottom seam.

Apply gentle pressure to pry the plastic from the base, only a slight amount at first.

Remove the 5.5mm Phillips #000 screw.

• Insert plastic opening tool into the seam between the two plastic layers.
• Pry the plastic away from the body.

Locate the seam beneath the metal charging port.

• Insert a plastic opening tool into the identified seam.
• Pry the metal charging port from the device body.
