LG G4 Speaker Replacement
Changing the speaker may damage other components if not done correctly. Proceed with caution.
- Locate the faulty speaker unit.
- Disconnect the speaker wires from the amplifier circuit.
- Remove the old speaker and install a new one of the same specifications.
- Reconnect the speaker wires to the amplifier circuit.
Step 1 | Back Cover
Power off the phone.
- Locate the groove at the bottom left side of the device and insert a plastic opening tool.
- Pry up the rear cover gently.
Step 2
Insert the plastic opening tool at the battery's bottom edge.
- Lift upwards to dislodge the battery.
- Remove the battery from its housing using both hands.
Step 3
- Remove the eleven 3.9 mm Phillips #00 screws located at the back of the phone.
Step 4
Lift carefully to avoid damaging the surrounding components.
- Insert the plastic opening tool into the lower left corner of the device.
- Lift the cover firmly using the tool.
- Remove the cover completely with your fingers, taking care not to pinch any cables or components.
Step 5 | Speaker
Be careful when handling the speaker as it is a fragile component.
- Use a plastic opening tool to release the top clip of the bottom panel portion.
- Slide the bottom portion of the panel downward, away from the top portion.
- The speaker unit is contained within the detached bottom panel portion as a single part.
