Replace the cracked/damaged LCD screen and digitizer assembly in your LG G4 smartphone.
Power down the phone.
Locate the plastic opening tool and position it at the bottom edge of the battery.
Remove all screws.
Remove the front-facing camera connector, rear-facing camera connector, and digitizer connector with a plastic spudger or opening tool.
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully lift the motherboard, assisting with your fingers if necessary.
Apply a heat gun or iOpener to the auxiliary port to loosen the surrounding adhesive.
Insert a nylon spudger into the auxiliary port and carefully pry upward to release it.
Careful removal required — damage to surrounding components is possible.
Remove the digitizer ribbon cable's adhesive strip using a pair of tweezers.
Insert the flat side of a nylon spudger under the digitizer ribbon cable.
Apply gentle heat from a heat gun or an iOpener along the edges of the screen.
Use a heavy-duty suction cup and firmly pull the screen away from the frame to create a small gap.
Do not apply excessive force, as there may be a thin strip of adhesive holding the screen in place.
If the screen is difficult to free, apply additional heat along the edges of the phone to aid removal.
Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap between the screen and the plastic housing.
Gently feed the digitizer ribbon cable through the frame, taking care not to damage it.
