Problems with the rear-facing camera could be caused by a loose ribbon cable connection or a faulty camera module.
Power down your device completely.
Release the rest of the plastic clips by lifting the back cover.
Locate the marked notch and use a fingernail or prying tool to carefully pry the battery from its recess.
Remove the battery from its recess.
Remove Phillips #00 screws, 4 in total, with a length of 4 mm.
Insert the thumbnail or a prying tool, such as a spudger, into the notch at the bottom left of the back cover.
Remove the plastic panel with attached loudspeaker, gently prying it away from the phone assembly.
Remove eight Phillips #00 screws (4mm length).
Be cautious not to damage the motherboard or plastic clips.
Use a spudger to gently pry up and release the display flex cable.
Use a spudger to gently pry up and disconnect the digitizer flex cable.
Use a spudger to gently pry up and disconnect the rear camera flex cable.
Disconnect the front camera flex cable by prying it loose with a spudger.
Avoid touching or damaging the disconnected flex cables.
Insert the opening pick beside the SIM card slot on the motherboard.
Hold the motherboard at its top section and gently lift it upward.
Use the plastic opening tool to pry the rear-facing camera from its mounting points.
The double-sided tape may require extra effort to remove; apply gentle pressure and work carefully from multiple angles.
Disconnect and remove the old rear-facing camera.
