This repair is specific to the LG G3 (D855) model only.
Power off your phone and disconnect all power sources.
Pry carefully to avoid damaging the clips — risk of cracking the casing.
Pry the back cover up to separate its plastic clips.
Remove the back cover to release all remaining plastic clips.
Do not force the back cover on, as this may damage it.
At the marked notch, use a fingernail or a prying tool to lever the battery out.
Remove the battery from its recess.
Remove the Phillips #00 screws, 4 in total. Each screw is 4mm long.
Insert a thumbnail or a plastic spudger into the notch at the bottom left of the back cover.
Remove the plastic panel, which includes the loudspeaker, by gently pulling it away from the phone assembly.
Remove all Phillips #00 screws, 8 in total, with a length of 4 mm.
Insert an opening pick between the bottom right corner of the motherboard cover and the motherboard.
Lift the right edge of the motherboard cover
Disconnect the display flex cable by prying it loose with a spudger.
Use a spudger to pry up and release the digitizer flex cable.
Use a spudger to carefully pry up and then fully disconnect the rear camera flex cable.
Disconnect the front camera flex cable using a spudger.
Avoid damaging the disconnected flex cables.
Position the opening pick at the right edge of the motherboard, near the SIM card slot.
Grasp the motherboard by its top section.
Careful not to damage any components as you lift.
Lift the motherboard out of the phone.
Remove the earpiece speaker along with its attached foam gasket.
