LG G3 Battery Replacement
If your battery is swollen, take appropriate precautions before proceeding.
- Follow this guide to remove or replace a worn-out battery in the LG G3 (B855).
Step 1 | Back Cover
Power off your device before proceeding.
- Insert a thumbnail or spudger into the notch at the bottom left of the back cover.
- Pry the back cover upwards to separate its plastic clips.
Step 2
Remove the back cover by lifting it.
If the cover does not lift completely, use a fingernail or prying tool to release any remaining plastic clips.
- Finger nail or prying tool should be slid along midframe to fully release all plastic clips.
- To reinstall, press back cover firmly into place until you hear the snap of forming a seamless connection with phone's rear side.
Step 3 | Battery
Insert the pry tool into the marked notch and gently pry the battery from its housing.
Step 4
Remove the battery from its housing.
