LG G3 Vigor Vibration Motor Replacement

Replacing the vibration motor in your LG G3 Vigor requires the following steps:

Step 1 | Rear Case

Locate the notch at the bottom right of the phone.

Remove the rear cover by gently pulling it away from the phone.

  • The battery is located underneath the rear cover.

Step 3 | Battery

Lift the battery out from its slot located at the bottom of the device.

Step 4 | Midframe

Remove the twelve Phillips #00 screws holding the midframe in place.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam and work it around the device's edge, prying the midframe away from the rest of the phone.

Step 6 | Rear Facing Camera

Disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.

  • Next, remove the rear-facing camera.

Step 7 | Front Facing Camera

Unplug the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.

  • Remove the front camera.

Step 8 | Motherboard

Use the flat edge of a spudger to carefully release the motherboard ribbon connector.

Push the motherboard retaining flaps back with the pointed end of a spudger.

  • The motherboard can then be removed from the device.

Step 10 | Vibration Motor

Remove the vibration motor using a spudger.

Some force may be needed due to minor adhesive holding it in place.
