LG G3 Vigor Motherboard Replacement

Step 1 | Rear Case

Identify the notch located at the bottom right corner of the device.

Locate and remove the back cover from your phone by gently pulling it away.

Step 3 | Battery

Lift the battery out of its slot located at the bottom.

Step 4 | Midframe

Remove twelve Phillips #00 screws from the midframe.

  • The screws secure the midframe to the rest of the phone.
  • Identify and separate all twelve screws before removal.

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the midframe away from the rest of the phone, working your way around the entire edge.

Step 6 | Rear Facing Camera

  • Unplug the ribbon cable connected to the motherboard using a spudger.
  • Remove the rear-facing camera.

Step 7 | Front Facing Camera

  • Unplug the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.
  • Disconnect and remove the front camera.

Step 8 | Motherboard

Use the flat edge of a spudger to disconnect the motherboard ribbon connector.

Push back the motherboard retaining flaps using the pointed end of a spudger.

  • The motherboard can now be lifted out.
