This repair requires a replacement part for your device.
Identify the notch located at the bottom right corner of the device.
Locate the battery by gently pulling the back cover off.
Lift the battery out of its slot located at the bottom of the device.
Remove twelve Phillips #00 screws from the midframe.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry the midframe away from the rest of the phone, working along its entire edge.
Unplug the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.
Disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.
Disconnect the motherboard ribbon connector with the flat edge of a spudger.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to push back the motherboard retaining flaps.
Insert a spudger into the headphone jack and gently pull it upwards to remove.
