LG G3 Vigor Earpiece Speaker Replacement

Identify the small indentation, or notch, situated at the lower right corner of the phone.

Remove the rear cover gently by pulling it away from the phone.

• Locate the battery underneath the removed cover.

Lift the battery out of its slot located at the bottom.

Locate and remove the 12 x #00 Phillips screws holding the midframe in place.

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the midframe away from the rest of the phone, working your way along its entire edge.

Remove the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.

• Unplug the ribbon cable with a gentle prying motion.
• Next, carefully remove the rear-facing camera.

Unplug the ribbon cable from the motherboard using a spudger.

• Remove the front camera.

Disconnect the motherboard ribbon connector using the flat edge of a spudger.

Push back the motherboard retaining flaps using the pointed end of a spudger.

The motherboard can now be lifted out.

Use a metal spudger to carefully pry out the earpiece speaker.
